Universitas Islam Internasional Indonesia 2. Walisongo State Islamic University Description This project provides a computational analysis of the interpretive history of Surah An-Nisa verse 3 (QS 4:3) spanning over centuries of Islamic scholarship. The repository contains a specialized Python-based text mining system and a curated corpus of 13 Tafsir works. Thematic Focus: The analysis quantifies five critical domains: Justice ( ‘Adl/Qisṭ ), Polygamy ( Ta‘addud ), Orphans ( Yatāmā ), Men ( Rijāl ), and Women ( Nisā’ ). This dataset comprises 13 works representing diverse theological and methodological schools: the Traditional (Bi-l-Maʾthūr) approach is represented by al-Ṭabarī’s Jāmiʿ al-Bayān ʿan Taʾwīl Āy al-Qurʾān (d. 310 AH), while the Rational-Theological (Bi-l-Raʾy) perspective includes al-Māturīdī’s Taʾwīlāt Ahl al-Sunnah (d. 333 AH) and Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī’s Mafātīḥ al-Ghayb (d. 606 AH). Linguistic and Grammatical analyses are provided through Abū ʿUbaydah’s Majāz al-Qurʾān (d. 210 AH), al-Zamakhsharī’s al-Kashshāf ʿan Ḥaqāʾiq al-Tanzīl (d. 538 AH), and Abū Ḥayyān al-Andalusī’s al-Baḥr al-Muḥīṭ (d. 745 AH). The Legal (Fiqhī) tradition is exemplified by al-Qurṭubī’s al-Jāmiʿ li-Aḥkām al-Qurʾān (d. 671 AH), whereas Mystical (Ishārī) insights are drawn from al-Ālūsī’s Rūḥ al-Maʿānī (d. 1270 AH). Finally, Modern, Reformist, and Socio-Political trends are covered by Sayyid Quṭb’s Fī Ẓilāl al-Qurʾān (d. 1387 AH), Ibn ʿĀshūr’s al-Taḥrīr wa-al-Tanwīr (d. 1393 AH), al-Shaʿrāwī’s Tafsīr al-Shaʿrāwī (d. 1419 AH), and the reformist Tafsīr al-Manār by ʿAbduh and Riḍā (d. 1345 AH), encompassing a sectarian spectrum of Sunni, Shi'a, represented by al-Ṭabāṭabāʾī’s al-Mīzān fī Tafsīr al-Qurʾān (d. 1412 AH), Mu'tazilite, and Kharijite views.
