Kirklees is a designated UNESCO Town of Learning, reflecting the Council's commitment to lifelong learning as a central driver of inclusive economic growth, social wellbeing and community resilience. This status underscores the ambition for Kirklees to be a place where learning is embedded throughout life, accessible to all, and targeted particularly at those facing the greatest barriers.
