Description This document analyzes the configuration of the Brazilian Socio-environmental State based on the 1988 Federal Constitution, highlighting the transition to a "broadened anthropocentrism" that integrates civil, social, and environmental agendas. From the perspective of Sarlet (2014), the legal nature of the work environment as a fundamental and human right is investigated, based on the connection between Article 225 and Article 7 of the Magna Carta. The study demonstrates that a safe and healthy work environment is an inseparable component of human dignity and the socio-environmental minimum existential standard, requiring a harmonious balance between the economic, social, and ecological axes. Finally, the research addresses the international support provided by the ILO Conventions and UN SDG 8, reinforcing the duty of progressivity and the prohibition of social regression in the protection of the physical and mental integrity of workers. The methodology consists of a qualitative and exploratory bibliographic and documentary review.
