S.E.A College of Science, Commerce and Arts, Autonomous, Bangalore Description Abstract This study explores the psychological and financial impact of rising school fees on parents using a descriptive research design based on responses from 36 families. The findings show that fee hikes of 10–30% are common, with many families cutting expenses, relying on loans, and experiencing stress. Most respondents reported reduced savings and felt that fee increases were not justified by improvements in school facilities. The study concludes that rising school fees create financial strain and psychological pressure, emphasizing the need for transparency, regulation, and support to keep education affordable.
