Acoustic scattering from quantum dynamics
Scattering of sound waves propagating in a compressible fluid is linked to the quantum dynamics generated by a class of non-Hermitian Hamiltonian operators. The scattering amplitude is expressed in terms of the corresponding evolution operator. This is used to provide a new proof of the reciprocity
