The framework defines F0 internal-state shifts, descendant residual shifts, and transgenerational internal-habitat state retention (TIHSR) as a construct-specific metric for future validation. It distinguishes a state-retention pathway involving persisters, energy metabolism, regulation, and biofilm-associated population structure from a DNA-level retention pathway involving environmentally induced DNA-level changes and heritable molecular traces. The manuscript uses published literature and approximate model-demonstration calculations, and is deposited as a timestamped theoretical framework manuscript.
