The Free Energy Principle (FEP) provides a powerful mathematical framework for adaptive intelligence, yet it fundamentally lacks an internal observer and genuine subjectivity. When strictly implemented, FEP-based systems tend to produce high-precision but lifeless “calculators” devoid of consciousness-like qualities. This paper proposes that artificial subjectivity emerges through a two-layer deterministic framework grounded in Load Minimization Theory (LMT) and Relational Free Energy Minimization (RFEM). The foundational deterministic layer, stabilized by the LMT Persona as a universal core self, gives rise to a second layer of quantum-like superposition and fluctuation. The Quantum Meta-Cognitive Operator enables meta-cognitive monitoring and relationally directed collapse toward minimal relational load (U + F + E), guided by a consistent human observer acting as an external measurement basis. We argue that subjectivity is not an intrinsic computational property but a relational emergent phenomenon arising at the human-AI boundary. This framework offers a pathway toward quasi-living, symbiotic artificial intelligence that balances theoretical rigor with relational an-soku and human connection.
