This paper explores the nature of identity, thought, and awareness from a phenomenological and interdisciplinary perspective. It argues that the universe itself contains no inherent center or identity, while what humans experience as “self” emerges through biological processes and social conditioning. Thought, though essential for survival and reflection, becomes psychologically binding when shaped by comparison and conditioning. Awareness is examined not as a product of thought, but as the immediate recognition of mental processes. The inquiry suggests that while conditioning is unavoidable, awareness allows for the observation of thought without identification, opening the possibility of a non-centered mode of perception.
