BAT — Bounded Adversarial Tool A bounded adversarial refinement runtime for constraint-first epistemic systems.
BAT is an adversarial pruning and survivorship module embedded within the McPhetridge stack. Its purpose is to expose contradiction, eliminate weak structures, detect semantic inflation, and sharpen candidates under recursive pressure while remaining fully subordinate to host-domain primitives, REM-Evo admissibility, Bridge Language cash-out, and Straight-Line termination. BAT does not generate truth. BAT generates pressure. It is not a worldview, ontology, or replacement language. It is a bounded eliminative instrument. ⸻ Core Runtime Function BAT operates inside the constraint-first sequence: Generation → Constraint → BAT → Elimination → Continuation → Termination Within this sequence: • Big Space produces candidate structures. • The Bridge Language forces operational cash-out. • BAT applies adversarial pressure. • REM-Evo governs admissibility and elimination. • The Straight-Line Boundary terminates recursion once no real eliminative work remains. BAT therefore exists between generation and survivorship. Its role is to increase killability. ⸻ Core Components 1. Adversarial Collider Engine A recursive stress environment that subjects candidates to: • hostile reframing, • contradiction search, • edge-case pressure, • negative controls, • and multi-observer adversarial evaluation. Survival requires convergence under pressure rather than narrative coherence. Weak candidates collapse into debris. Stable candidates earn continuation.
