From the Wreckage: Eight Atlases Of Human Existence Under Total Colonial Domination - A Psycho-Cosmocide Analysis from West Papua
This paper develops the Eight Atlases of Human Existence as a theoretical framework within the Psycho-Cosmocide paradigm — a decolonial philosophy concerned with the systematic destruction of indigenous cosmologies, consciousness, and existential architecture under colonial domination. The eight atlases — Physical/Material, Biological/Organism, Cultural/Mythological, Metaphysical/Transcendental, Particle/Energy, Space/Time, Memory/Consciousness, and the Ultimate Unknown — are presented not as separate layers but as a single, interdependent ecosystem constituting the total architecture of human life. Drawing on West Papuan Lani philosophy, decolonial theory, and existential phenomenology, the paper argues that colonial domination — operating through the Civilisational Psycho-Cosmocide Virus (CPCV) — does not merely seize land or suppress culture, but assaults all eight atlases simultaneously, restructuring material reality, biological identity, symbolic meaning, metaphysical orientation, technological access, spatial grounding, and consciousness itself. The paper traces how each atlas is targeted by specific colonial instruments, how damage in one atlas propagates through the others, and why genuine decolonial reconstruction must be ecological in scope — addressing the total architecture of existence rather than any single dimension. The analysis concludes by orienting the framework toward Wonesis: the return to cosmological wholeness as the horizon of indigenous survival and continuity.
