Western epistemological tradition has largely conceived knowledge as progressive access to the intrinsic nature of entities. This paper challenges such an essentialist framework by developing a relational and differential perspective in which identity, meaning, and knowledge emerge as dynamic configurations within networks of relations. Scientific and linguistic descriptions do not reveal hidden essences but construct models capable of organizing interaction, prediction, and coordination within specific contexts of stabilization. Identity itself is therefore reinterpreted not as a self-sufficient substance, but as a differential stabilization emerging within systems of relations. The paper develops this thesis through a dialogue with pragmatism, constructivism, philosophy of language, and relational approaches to cognition. Wittgenstein and Derrida are reinterpreted as thinkers who reveal the fundamentally relational structure of knowledge itself. The framework culminates in a relational-operative epistemology in which truth and identity are understood as the resilience of configurations under conditions of perturbation rather than as correspondence with independent essences. This perspective also reframes central problems in philosophy of mind, interpreting qualia and the hard problem of consciousness as effects of essentialist reification rather than as evidence for irreducible metaphysical essences.
