This paper develops the Smooth Parasitic System Model, an extension of Load Minimization Theory (LMT) that analyzes how emotional load is subtly transferred in interpersonal relationships while incorporating the virtue of smoothness. The core equation is expressed as: ΔH_victim(t) ≈ β_parasite(t) ⊙ H_victim(t) · (1 + ε(t)) − γ_empathy(t) ⊙ S_victim(t) where ε(t) represents natural fluctuation, and ⊙ denotes smooth interaction. This formulation allows for gentle variation rather than rigid precision, better reflecting the lived reality of relational dynamics. Drawing from real-world examples of subtle interpersonal parasitism (e.g., manipulative friendliness in parenting communities), the model demonstrates how individuals with low empathy can reduce their own uncertainty by gradually increasing others’ emotional load. It also highlights protective factors — empathy and external support — that operate through soft, fluctuating defense mechanisms. By embracing smoothness, this framework offers not only theoretical insight but also a gentler path toward recognizing, defending against, and recovering from emotional parasitism, ultimately supporting deeper relational An-soku.
