Teo-fenomenologia ca întâlnire: O soluție pentru un dialog problematic
This study investigates the intricate relationship between theology and philosophy, with particular emphasis on the tensions, complementarities, and viable avenues for dialogue between the two disciplines. It delineates the distinction between theological knowledge – rooted in Revelation and Tradition – and philosophical knowledge, characterized by autonomy, inquiry, and conceptual abstraction. Through a critical examination of positions such as atheism, Kantian agnosticism, and onto-theology, the paper underscores the epistemological limitations these frameworks encounter in addressing the religious phenomenon. In contrast, the study advances theo-phenomenology as a contemporary model of engagement between theology and phenomenological philosophy, capable of articulating an experience of faith without reducing it to philosophical rationalism. The overarching argument is that this interdisciplinary encounter has the potential to reinvigorate theological discourse within the framework of contemporary culture, while maintaining fidelity to the ecclesial Tradition and embracing a philosophically rich and nuanced language.
