Non-Degenerate Construction and the Kernel of Admissibility
What must already be in place for a sequence of steps to count as the construction of a determinate object on a fixed domain rather than as a mere formal trace? This paper argues that admissibility, standing, reference, and irreversibility form the necessary kernel of admissibility assessable, identity-preserving construction. The thesis is that non-degenerate systems instantiate this kernel by necessity: the kernel is not generated by such systems, but is what makes their non-degeneracy possible. The proof is eliminative rather than generative. The target domain is identified by exhausting the ways of avoiding the kernel while preserving determinate target identity, admissible stephood, irreversible act-status, and identity-preserving transformation. Below the kernel no faithful generator exists, and purported same-regime counterexamples fail by illicit structure import, triviality, loss of the target phenomenon, or collapse to governance equivalent form. Once the kernel is fixed, further consequences follow for transport, quotient identity, admissible operators, bivalence, the AMetric boundary, uniqueness of the admissible interior, conservation, and the boundary between foundational presupposition and internal mechanization. The downstream consequence layer is formal-system relevant rather than merely interpretive and is an appropriate object of axiom-free Lean4 verification. Derivation appears as the proposition-targeted special case of this more general constructional setting.
