Independent Researcher Description This poster presents the results of four half-yearly photometric monitoring campaigns (2024-2025) assessing illuminated advertising street furniture in Porto, Portugal, including LED billboards, MUPIs and passenger shelters. Using calibrated luminance meters, lux meters, and spectroradiometric measurements, the study evaluated compliance with municipal limits for luminance and correlated colour temperature (CCT). The results show that continuous monitoring, reporting and corrective actions can substantially reduce artificial light emissions from illuminated advertising devices, although important differences remain between concessionaires and equipment types. The poster also discusses how these local control measures could be complemented by broader regulatory approaches based on absolute territorial emission caps (“red lines”) for light pollution.
