6 U.S.C. § 554 — National identification system not authorized

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to authorize the development of a national identification system or card. ( Pub. L. 107–296, title XV, § 1514 , Nov. 25, 2002 , 116 Stat. 2311 .)
