16 U.S.C. § 582a-7 — “State” defined

The term “ State ” as used in this subchapter shall include Puerto Rico , the Virgin Islands, and Guam. ( Pub. L. 87–788, § 8 , Oct. 10, 1962 , 76 Stat. 807 ; Pub.
