There shall be in the Women’s Bureau an assistant director, to be appointed by the Secretary of Labor, who shall perform such duties as shall be prescribed by the director and approved by the Secretary of Labor. (June 5, 1920, ch. 248, § 3, 41 Stat. 987 .) Editorial Notes Codification Words “who shall receive an annual compensation of $5,000 and” were omitted in view of the Classification Acts.
