The Chinese Zodiac Animals in Proverbs
The book studies Chinese proverbs regarding animals appearing in the Chinese zodiac with the method of Językowy Obraz Świata (JOS), following the Lublin tradition of the study of the linguistic worldview. It recreates the Chinese proverbial view of the twelve animals with comprehensive reference to Chinese culture and history for providing a better insight to motivation behind the connotations bound with the animals.
