Sabda, Human Dignity, and Telos: Reframing Moral Foundations Beyond Pure Logic
Contemporary debates in law, bioethics, public policy, and artificial intelligence often appeal to human dignity and human telos while grounding them in capacity based, evolutionary, or contractarian theories backed by pure logic. This article argues that such foundations cannot sustain the strongest dignity claims, especially in hard cases involving infants, persons with severe cognitive impairment, economically burdensome dependents, structurally silenced groups, and future generations. It reconstructs these three families of accounts in their best form, tests them against a set of minimal human dignity axioms, and shows how each either excludes the most vulnerable or quietly borrows thicker assumptions about human worth and purpose. On that basis the article develops Sabda, understood as Revelatory Word, the authoritative source of norm and telos, as the missing tier that can confer inherent and equal worth, fix non negotiable limits on instrumentalisation, and orient human life across conditions of vulnerability. It then examines the self limitation of pure logic and contends that even logical authority depends on a prior horizon of norm and purpose. Finally, the article embeds Sabda in The Cohesive Tetrad, an architecture of truth governance that links Sabda with Logic, Qualia, Mistika, Akhlak, and Intention Trace Alignment, and sketches implications for dignity grounded law, public policy, and artificial intelligence.
