∇U as Ontological Precondition of Measurement. A Meta-Monist Reinterpretation of the Stern–Gerlach Experiment
The Stern–Gerlach experiment is widely interpreted as a paradigmatic quantum measurement: discrete spin states emerge from an initially unpolarized atomic beam. However, this interpretation rests on the assumption of a "neutral" initial state, ignoring background field effects. This paper presents a reinterpretation based on the ontological framework of Meta-Monism, where reality is structured by gradients of ontological tension (denoted as ∇U) between Being (A) and Non-Being (–A₀). In this view, measurement does not generate difference but amplifies a pre-existing structured potential. We explore how this model integrates with quantum field theory (QFT), thermodynamics, and experimental extensions. We conclude that measureme
