The Species Bridge Without a Global Renormalizer: Auditing the Ultraviolet Entry of Record Relevance
Does the information-theoretic structure of records — which observables of a quantum field are redundantly, publicly registered in accessible environments — enter the renormalization of Newton's constant? In induced-gravity readings, 1/G is a species sum fixed by the effective theory's field content, and the same ultraviolet quantity appears as the divergent part of horizon entanglement entropy; quantum Darwinism, meanwhile, characterizes which observables are records. This paper — the forty-seventh in a sequence developing an interpretive framework that redescribes physical reality as a causally consistent history of information updates, and the capstone of its Debt-Discharge Program — audits whether any functional of record structure can produce a scheme-robust shift of the induced-1/G counterterm, completing the burden an earlier paper (Paper 39) explicitly assigned when it found record relevance inert at the infrared level and flagged the ultraviolet bridge as the one route left open. The audit is built to close either way. The setting is declared first: one-loop induced gravity on flat and weakly curved backgrounds; the counterterm as the Seeley-DeWitt structure of the heat-kernel expansion; a closed scheme class (dimensional regularization, proper-time cutoff, Pauli-Villars); and a three-condition definition of scheme-robust entry evaluated on a record-conditioned difference at matched renormalization conditions, calibrated by an explicit computation showing that physical-threshold effects pass the criterion while regulator-only effects fail it. A four-column species ledger types entanglement entropy, record-bearing state entropy, accessible/public record functionals, and the counterterm, so that an entry claim must move the counterterm column rather than relabel an infrared or warrant column. Three declared bridge families are scored against five fixed criteria: record-conditioned modular flow, horizon-algebra/edge-mode readings, and cutoff-scale Darwinist redundancy. A two-tier entry test then disposes each family and proves a door lemma: any record functional producing a scheme-robust entry must alter the Hadamard short-distance structure, the algebra or measure of the ultraviolet functional integral, or a boundary sector that feeds the counterterm. The computed verdict is that the bridge is killed over the declared class. Record conditioning acts on states and accessibility within a fixed Hadamard folium and cannot touch the inputs the counterterm is built from; the edge sector's species content is fixed by gauge group, boundary conditions, and regulator, none a record functional; and cutoff-scale redundancy either supplies no functional or supplies a state functional refuted by the same engine, with the well-definedness question itself recorded open and shown verdict-irrelevant. The typing premise — record structure as state and accessibility data — is displayed rather than smuggled, and candidates rejecting it are priced as new physics through an explicit bridge-postulate normal form with a five-conjunct acceptance gate, which no candidate completed. Paper 39's conditional inertness is thereby strengthened to a no-go theorem at exactly its declared scope. The retired authority is the Global Renormalizer: the question of ultraviolet entry needs no external arbiter — it is well-posed, auditable, and, within the declared class, answered in the negative. Newton's constant is predicted on no branch; the framework's route to a distinctive world-side signature now runs through the laboratory, not the ultraviolet.
