This paper introduces the Cognitive Manifestation Hypothesis, an idealist ontology proposing that the physical universe is a structured cognitive projection rather than a fundamental material reality. By synthesizing pancomputationalism with a radical critique of empiricism, we argue that matter, space, and time are emergent interface renderings—user interfaces—of an underlying logical and computational thought architecture. We begin by mobilizing W.V.O. Quine’s critique of reductionism and N.R. Hanson’s theory-ladenness of observation, demonstrating via Ludwig Wittgenstein’s semantic shifts that raw, mind-independent physical objects are structurally inaccessible. We then extend David Chalmers’ functionalist framework for identifying artificial consciousness, demonstrating that if an informational substrate exhibits intersubjective coherence and non-trivial registration loops, it is not merely simulating consciousness but executing its baseline requirements. Integrating Aristotelian teleology with digital physics, we reframe physical matter as the collapsed potentiality of a prior conceptual blueprint. Finally, we resolve the idealist-realist divide by contextualizing the pragmatic philosophical dictum "only back pain is real," positioning immediate phenomenological resistance not as proof of matter, but as the hard boundary conditions of the universal computational interface. We conclude that the Cognitive Manifestation Hypothesis provides the most parsimonious explanation of existence under Occam’s razor, shifting the cosmic paradigm from a mechanical container to an infinite, self-registering mind.
