In part, this paper summarizes ideas from my debut book: Critical Introduction. On the Possibility of Metaphysics as a Science from the Perspective of Kantian Critical Philosophy, Crates, 2004 (not yet translated from Romanian into English or any other language). Main thesis: cosmological antinomies are paradoxes (such as the liar paradox, for example), and paradoxes in general are not logical errors, but rather an indestructible epistemological matrix that somehow configures knowledge from within, in all its possible forms. Consequently, metaphysics in Kant's understanding is a science, but not a positive one (of the objects of our sensitive experiences), but an apophatic one (of the limits of both sensitive and theoretical knowledge). Ultimately, I argue, metaphysics is the science of its own possibilities or, in other words, the science of its own epistemological limits. The complete version (Parts I and II) is also available here on the PhilPeople portal. A revised and expanded version of this e-book is currently in the works and will be published soon on Leanpub.
