This article, drawing on the theoretical framework of the Ontology of Finite Continuity, reexamines the contemporary subject's encounter with unreachable media objects through the concept of Hermeneutic Friction. The main hypothesis is that stable mental orientations toward media subjects lacking lived experience can be understood as one of the modes of emergence of structural subjectivity under conditions of media saturation. By reconsidering the adequacy of classical equilibrium models for explaining subjectivity in rapidly accelerating media environments, this study demonstrates how hermeneutic friction, as the driving motor of homeorhesis, facilitates the continuity of subjectivity in the late modern world.
