Why is there Something rather than Nothing? An Inquiry into the Origin of Physical Reality
To understand the origin of physical reality, it is essential to begin with a rigorous conceptual distinction between the void and absolute nothingness. This paper proposes the "Universe as a Word" thesis, formulating physical reality as a zero-sum balance (R=0). Spacetime deformations act as the material signifier, selected and structured by a non-physical "meaning" (the signified). By re-evaluating the physical global balance of zero alongside philosophical perspectives on nothingness, this inquiry outlines how physical existence emerges without violating fundamental conservation laws.
