Koselleck e o conceito de história

Centrado na multifacetada obra do historiador alemão Reinhart Koselleck (1923-2006), o texto explora a interrelação entre o conceito positivo da história, em parte pressuposto, em parte articulado pelo autor, e a concepção de história originária da época do Iluminismo, que ele investigou com as ferramentas da história conceitual. O objetivo é mostrar que a teorização de Koselleck, apesar da sua forte orientação anti-teleológica, evita tomar a história como um problema primariamente epistemológico, metodológico, tropológico ou representacional – na contramão do que foi a atitude mais comum entre os teóricos ocidentais após a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Argumento, em síntese, que a teoria de Koselleck é fundamentalmente uma teoria substantiva da história; uma reflexão dirigida, em primeiro lugar, à “história” enquanto espaço da vida real, a qual apenas secundariamente remete à “história” como forma de conhecimento ou discurso ex post facto. /// Centering on the multifaceted work of the German historian Reinhart Koselleck (1923-2006), this text explores the interrelation between the positive concept of history partly presupposed, partly articulated by the author, and the conception of history originating from the Enlightenment that he investigated with the tools of conceptual history. The aim is to show that Koselleck’s theorization, despite its strong anti-teleological bent, avoids approaching history primarily as an epistemological, methodological, tropological, or representational problem – running in this regard counter to the attitude that prevailed among Western theorists after World War II. In short, I argue that Koselleck’s theory is fundamentally a substantive theory of history; a reflection directed, first and foremost, at “history” as a space of real life, which only secondarily refers to “history” as a form of knowledge or ex post facto discourse.
