The Roots and Remedies of Human Civilizational Crisis

What the world experiences today is not seven independent crises but seven billion simultaneous expressions of a single deep error. Climate collapse, AI alignment risk, escalating wars, financial debt inflation, ecosystem degradation, spiritual emptiness, and extreme nationalism — these apparently independent crises, under the analytical framework of the Lao-Yang Genesis Cosmology and Natural Cybernetics, point to a single root: the operating system of human civilization runs on a fundamentally mistaken cosmology. The central thesis of this book: the ultimate root of human civilizational crisis is not technical failure, policy error, or moral decadence, but cognitive error — specifically, the Anthropocentric Illusion that has persisted for two and a half millennia: the mistaken identification of humanity as the centre of the cosmos, the master of nature, and the pinnacle of progress. This cognitive error, institutionalized through the Three Great Illusions (theological, political-military, economic-ecological), drives the Three-Level Greedy Positive-Feedback Model (3L-GFM) into continuous runaway operation, systematically breaching Earth's Natural OS's Cosmic Constraint Function (CCF) as the Desire Amplification Factor (DAF) persists far above 1, pushing the civilizational system toward the Social Tipping Point (STP). There is only one way out: a Cosmological Copernican Revolution — from anthropocentrism toward Dao Follows Nature; from confrontation between the civilizational OS and Earth's Natural OS toward deep alignment; from conquering the cosmos toward re-embedding within it. With the Lao-Yang Genesis Cosmology as the theoretical core, the Three Principles of Natural Civilization (Systemic Nesting, Feedback Respect, Dao-Centered Cognition) as the institutional framework, the AI-to-AW (Artificial Wisdom) technological transition as the engine, and Know Contentment (知足常乐) as the cosmos's final operating protocol for humanity. Dujiangyan — built in 256 BCE, operating continuously for 2,281 years — is the most complete historical proof of this path. With its engineering philosophy of Dao Follows Nature, it achieved 2,281 years of human-nature co-existence and, with a 23:1 lifespan ratio against Hoover Dam, declared with measurable thermodynamic evidence that those who follow the Dao endure.
