Beyond Libertarianism

Libertarianism is an ism that has forgotten it is empty. It draws a binary boundary between coercion (state) and voluntary (market) — then forgets it was drawn. This paper expands the triad (Fit, Unfit, Counter-Fit) into a pentad: (Root, Mana, Fit, Unfit, Counter-Fit). Root is the unmarked ground — baseline coercion (nature, eat or starve), the void beneath all maps. Not a thing. A claim to the void. Mana is the animating force — attention, energy, reservoir, capital, legitimacy, compliance, information. The juice that flows through the network. Fit operates vertically — extracts Mana from the Unfit, draws boundaries, sets rules. Unfit operates horizontally — supplies Mana, vulnerable to extraction, protected by rights that do not stop the extraction. Counter-Fit is the visible enemy — blamed for coercion while the Fit's extraction remains invisible. The paper traces the evolution of power from the triad (shepherd, sheep, dog) through the spectrum of Counter-Fit in monarchical systems (thieves, merchants, loyalists, foreign powers, mob) to the fractal network of Counter-Fits and Fits. The Root appears as a network node — head of board, Mitch McConnell, Warren Buffett, rabbi of all rabbis, ayatollah — each claiming to be the ground. Mana appears as the circulating force that the network runs on. The cecology (five-fold ecology) is the network of networks — the interference spectrum of all pentads. We then offer a contological definition of liberty: the capacity to claim one's own Mana from the Root and project one's own holograph — within baseline coercion, not freedom from it. The paper concludes with two questions: to the libertarian ("Where does your Mana come from? Why do you blame the Counter-Fit for the extraction you perform?") and to the Unfit ("Your Mana flows upward. When will you claim it?"). The theater is empty. The Root is a claim. The Mana is yours. That is liberty. That is enough.
