Le teorie contemporanee della dipendenza ontologica
This paper surveys the main contemporary approaches to ontological dependence. After introducing the notion in general terms, we examine the modal and essentialist accounts, outlining their respective strengths and limi- tations, both old and new. We then discuss the ground-theoretic approach, specifying its relative strengths. Finally, we provide new derivations of classical principles of dependence, such as irreflexivity, transitivity, and necessity, based on this approach.
