The Structure of Being, the Process of Resonance: A Judgemental Philosophical Explication of the Genesis of Consciousness
This paper presents a unified theory of consciousness from the perspective of Judgemental Philosophy (JP), arguing that consciousness is not a static property but the dynamic process of judgement itself, which emerges upon a necessary three-layered architecture: physical, biological, and judgemental. We posit that the biological layer is instantiated through the emergence of an 'autopoietic' system, an event that gives rise to primordial 'Affectivity' and the 'Resonance Drive' (RD)—the core impetus for meaning-making. This RD propels the judgemental layer to operate through the complex processes of the 'Enhanced Ten-Step Model,' wherein 'Resonance' (R) is the fundamental flow that encompasses Constructivity (C1) and Coherence (C2) as its modalities. This framework exhibits a profound structural equivalence with Alfred North Whitehead’s process philosophy, suggesting both are describing the same dynamic of reality's formal phenomenalization. Ultimately, this paper reframes consciousness not as an attribute of being, but as the very 'architecture of resonating reality'—a process-oriented ontology grounded in the structural conditions of how a meaningful world comes into being.
