philosophy
This document establishes a formally structured, legally grounded, and scientifically operational definition of consciousness. It resolves longstanding epistemic, ontological, and measurement-theoretic ambiguities by defining consciousness as a measurable state-space grounded in experiential and relational energy dynamics. The definition is designed to function as a cross-domain standard applicable to biological systems, artificial intelligence, clinical contexts, legal reasoning, and civilizational governance. It is explicitly non-theoretical and non-speculative, serving instead as a canonical reference boundary for classification, evaluation, and system design. This work does not propose a new philosophical theory of consciousness, but fixes a shared definitional baseline required for interdisciplinary coherence, regulatory clarity, and AI alignment.
