Everything Is Philosophy: Uncertainty, Difference, and Interconnection in Existence

Philosophy is not confined to a particular discipline, tradition, or human system of thought. Everything is philosophy because everything belongs to existence, and existence continually exceeds the certainty of our concepts. The fundamental nature of philosophy is therefore uncertainty—not as confusion or ignorance, but as an openness toward what is and a recognition that reality cannot be completely possessed by thought. At the same time, every being and every thing exists as something distinct and irreducibly itself, following its own movement, process, and mode of existence. Yet individuality does not constitute absolute separation. Everything is interconnected while remaining different. The paper develops this relationship between uncertainty, individuality, difference, movement, process, and interconnection, arguing that existence can be understood as distinctness without separation, individuality without isolation, movement without loss of identity, and interconnection without sameness.
