Epistemologie der Spur. Eine Untersuchung zur Medialität, Hermeneutik und Ethik der Spur
This book develops a philosophical theory of the trace and examines its epistemological, hermeneutic and ethical dimensions. It argues that traces are not merely historical sources or signs but constitute a distinct mode of access to reality. Drawing on philosophy, historiography, media theory and semiotics, the study reconstructs the concept of the trace from antiquity to contemporary thought and proposes an epistemology of the trace as a framework for understanding knowledge, interpretation and cultural memory.
