The Structure of Human Becoming
This paper presents a structural account of human becoming grounded in a simple generative arc: constraint, adaptive movement, and coherence formation. The framework is developed in a discipline‑neutral way and used to illuminate biological, cognitive, moral, narrative, spiritual, and social development without reducing any domain to another. Consciousness is treated as the lived interior of adaptive movement, while alignment with the good and alignment with reality serve as evaluative criteria for distinguishing genuine coherence from mere stability. The account does not defend a position or advance a doctrine; it articulates a structure that appears to organize the developmental processes through which persons emerge. Readers are invited to evaluate the coherence and usefulness of this framework on its own terms.
