Consciousness
Within contemporary cognitive neuroscience and the philosophy of mind, the term "consciousness" suffers from systemic conceptual conflation, as higher-order rational data processing is frequently misidentified with phenomenal experience. This paper proposes a tripartite model of cognitive architecture based on the theory of bounded computational capacity (Global Working Memory / Bandwidth allocation). By analyzing the dynamic interplay between primary neurobiological impulses, secondary inhibitory/logical processes, and residual memory resources, this model accounts for the presence or absence of subjective experience across both human and non-human agents. We demystify the phenomenon of consciousness by reducing it to a binary emergent state governed by an economy of realtime information processing.
