Situating Transparency: An Extended Cognition Approach
This work explores the notion of ‘transparency’ from the perspective of extended cognition, where it has been classically understood as automaticity in the use of technical artifacts. However, attention to ethical and design considerations around new digital technologies, make it necessary to re-elaborate this notion, and for such we will turn to closely related theories and debates around skilled action.
