On the Possibility of a Completeness Theorem: A Sketch of Fluctuational Completeness
This paper explores the possibility of a new completeness theorem in light of Gödel’s incompleteness theorem. While Gödel showed that no sufficiently strong and consistent formal system can be both complete and self-contained, this study proposes that incompleteness itself can be reinterpreted as evidence of structural fluctuation. By introducing a probabilistic extension of formal systems, we define “fluctuational completeness” as a convergence toward stability, in which incompleteness is not denied but incorporated into the system as a whole. This redefinition suggests new directions for logic and the foundations of mathematics, as well as potential implications for physics, philosophy, and theories of language.
