Abstract: Faced with the situation of theoretical and practical atheism prevalent in this context, this paper is a synthesis of the philosophical foundations of God, which is the most important issue of philosophy. It is an effort to present synthetically and clearly everything related to the Being, the Existence, the Essence and the Divine perfections, and the fact that any being, any remaining in being and any growth of creatures is founded and is caused by God who is the Being in and of Himself, the first cause and the final cause of all that exists. It is an attempt to show the brilliance of the doctrine presented by St. Thomas Aquinas and to show that the synthesis of Aquinas, finished in its principles and open in its conclusions, contains a perennial value that, despite what has been said, has not yet been surpassed. Palabras clave: Dios, ser, acto, existencia, perfección, causa.
