Persons not in formal education by match between field of education and current/last main job and years since completion of highest level of education (2024)

The indicator measures the extent to which the field of the highest level of education successfully completed aligns with the current or last main job of people aged 15-34 not in formal education. The field of education is classified according to the ‘ISCED Fields of Education and Training’ (ISCED-F 2013). A field of education refers to the ‘Broad domain, branch or area of content covered by an education programme, course or module'. The information is broken down by sex, age, educational attainment level and years since completion of highest level of education. The indicator is based on the EU Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS) 8-yearly variables on "Young people on the labour market" surveyed in 2024.
