Consumption of antibiotics in the community and hospital sectors - defined daily doses (DDD) per day
This indicator measures the total antimicrobial consumption (AMC) in the community and hospital sector. AMC is expressed as the number of defined daily doses (DDD) per 1 000 inhabitants per day. The data refer to the Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical (ATC) classification code J01 ‘Antibacterials for systemic use’. The data for the EU aggregate are presented as population-weighted mean and include imputations and adjustments.
