本調査は，日本における政治的社会的分断の実態を明らかにするために，調査会社が保有する無作為抽出の回答者パネルから層化無作為抽出法により選ばれた対象者に対し2023年3月に行われた調査である。 本調査の目的は主に以下の2点である。第一の目的は，多くの先進民主主義国が直面している政治的社会的分断が，日本においても生じているのか，生じているのならば何が対立の契機になっているのかを明らかにすることである。具体的には，イデオロギーによる分断，政治との距離，道徳的価値観，リーダーシップのスタイル，政治や社会に対する見通しと評価の5つの軸を対立の契機として設定した。第二の目的は，分断を促進あるいは
