Description In the 21st century, the education system in India is reshaping with emerging technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) being one of them. Since the AI is reshaping the global media environment by transforming news production, news analysis, and distribution of news. Automated writing systems, machine-learning tools, and algorithm-based content recommendation are increasingly integrated into newsroom operations. These technological developments require a reassessment of journalism education. While traditional subjects such as reporting, editing, ethics, and media law remain fundamental, they must now be complemented by digital competencies and analytical skills. The present research article explores the need to redefine and redesign the journalism curricula to address the realities of AI-supported media ecosystems. It emphasizes the inclusion of AI literacy, data journalism, digital verification methods, and interdisciplinary collaboration in journalism programs. The study argues that a balanced curriculum combining technological awareness with professional ethics and digital storytelling skills is essential to prepare future journalists for the evolving media landscape.
