The Declaration on Humanity’s Cosmic Vision

Whereas humanity has long been trapped in the illusion of anthropocentrism, akin to the ancient doctrine of geocentrism, mistakenly believing itself to be the center of the cosmos; Whereas this illusion, though seemingly coherent on the surface, is fundamentally false, and has contributed to religious conflicts, political struggles, economic greed, and ecological crises; Whereas contemporary human civilization now faces a convergence of global crises, including environmental collapse, spiritual alienation, and civilizational confrontation; Whereas the survival and continuity of human civilization require a fundamental transformation in humanity’s understanding of its place within the universe; We, therefore, as bearers and witnesses of humanity’s reflection on its cosmic relationship, solemnly proclaim this Declaration on Humanity’s Cosmic Vision, and call upon all peoples and nations to recognize and uphold its principles.
