The Hydrogen Laboratory provides a multidisciplinary research environment for the development, characterization, and integration of electrochemical devices, including solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOEC), and proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) systems.

The Renewable Energy Technologies Group Hydrogen Lab is equipped with facilities for electrochemical characterization (e.g., I–V analysis, impedance spectroscopy), gas handling, and high-temperature operation. The planned procurement of advanced SOFC/SOEC test system will significantly strengthen the laboratory’s capability to conduct precise, controlled, and reproducible testing under a wide range of operating conditions.

This system will support ongoing national and European research projects, including collaborations with industry partners and participation in large-scale hydrogen initiatives.
