This thesis proposes an original theory called Extinction Simulation (ES), which posits that humanity, when facing an imminent extinction-level threat with insufficient time to resolve it through conventional means, could dedicate the entirety of its computational and energetic resources to creating a total, accelerated simulation of the known reality. Within this simulation, time would elapse at an exponentially higher rate than in the real world, allowing simulated civilizations to find, develop, and validate solutions that could subsequently be extracted and implemented in the real world before the catastrophe occurs. The ES theory sits at the intersection of cosmology, philosophy of mind, quantum computing, and applied ethics, representing a new paradigm for thinking about the survival of the species. The theory introduces three original concepts: the Extinction Time Paradox, Total Computational Mobilization, and the automatic verifier problem. It also distinguishes itself fundamentally from Bostrom's Simulation Hypothesis (2003) by being prospective, instrumental, and oriented toward the resolution of a concrete existential problem rather than a passive philosophical conjecture.
