The Mechanics of Awareness-Thought Space
This paper builds the geometric structure of the Awareness-Thought Space, a framework with the potential to solve core problems in the Philosophy of Mind. Adopting a compositional dual-aspect monist ontology, we posit a psychophys- ically neutral Awareness Space from which both physical and mental domains emerge. The mental domain operates as a vector space where thoughts are non-commutative elements defined by information and intensity. Simultane- ously, the neutral substrate is embedded with an anisotropic awareness field, where concentration centers act as localized observers. These observers attract thought vectors, and the resulting energetic friction: conceptually linked to suf- fering, slows thoughts down to create a static shell called the Ego. As thoughts accumulate via mental inertia, the Ego’s structural density increases. We math- ematically demonstrate that when this density surpasses a critical threshold, the localized awareness field collapses into a singularity, providing a rigorous for- malization for the phenomenological non-dual experience.
