### Abstract The Presbian Dilemma argues that the concept of free will collapses under logical scrutiny. Every act of will must either be determined by prior causes or occur randomly. If determined, it cannot be considered a free choice; if random, it cannot be considered a deliberate choice. Thus, the very notion of a “free choice” proves incoherent—it dissolves into determinism or chance.
