Symbolic Determinism and the Architecture of Meaning

Symbolic determinism is the principle that meaning, once inscribed as a symbolic structure, evolves deterministically according to its internal temporal architecture. Unlike digital communication—which preserves data but not meaning—symbolic communication preserves the temporal identity of the structure that carries meaning. This paper develops the metaphysical foundation of symbolic determinism by showing that meaning is not a mental interpretation but a temporal form rooted in the ente’s interior time. Symbols are not arbitrary signs; they are temporal architectures that preserve the invariance of meaning across media, beings, and contexts. The paper contrasts symbolic determinism with dependability, demonstrating that symbolic communication does not require protocols, parsing, or interpretation because the symbol itself is the meaning. This establishes a universal architecture of meaning grounded in temporal inscription, biological oscillation, and the finite interval of the ente. Symbolic determinism therefore provides the metaphysical foundation for meaning-preserving communication, symbolic identity, and the irreversibility of symbolic misalignment.
