The Paradox of the Boundless

This paper investigates the ontological tension between the definition of God as "Infinite Existence" and the concept of human free will. By analyzing the attributes of Divine Timelessness (Aeternitas) and Omniscience, we argue that the existence of an independent human will creates a logical contradiction that effectively "finitizes" the Divine. We reject probabilistic models of divine foreknowledge (Open Theism) as incompatible with the definition of the Infinite. Furthermore, we posit that moral "evil" is a relational concept applicable only to finite creatures, not to the Infinite. We conclude by proposing two resolutions: (1) An epistemological transcendence where the Divine acts outside the bounds of human logic, and (2) An ontological synthesis where finite agency is recontextualized as a modal expression of the Divine Will.
